SHORT BIO
Mick Fury is an award winning singer/songwriter acclaimed for doing the 90 minute score and songwriting for Mel Gibson and Cole Hauser’s $10 million dollar theatrical film PANAMA. He’s shared the stage with Stone Temple Pilots, Vertical Horizon, the Brothers Osborne and more, and is known for his intimate storytelling and big personality.
Mick began his journey by moving to Hollywood where he learned the ropes of the industry performing at open mics 6 nights a week. He returned home to Syracuse, NY a few years later and his rock band Silent Fury took off, landing their song “Exit Wounds” in the Underworld film with Kate Beckinsale, and opening for the Spin Doctors , Bret Michaels and Bush.
When the band broke up, Mick moved to Nashville to try pickin some country tunes. He had initial success playing with Travis Tritt and Craig Campbell, but he had another calling. Mick began touring Solo, playing Key West Songwriter Fest, Americana Fest, and St. Augustine Songwriter Festival. He was asked to be the composer for the film PANAMA starring Mel Gibson and Cole Hauser(Yellowstone), and the movie landed in the Top 8 on the iTunes theater chart.
Mick recently took a trip to Ireland to explore his heritage and fell in love with Irish music. He’s working on a 10-song Irish album in his Nashville studio. You can hear songs he’s written performed by rising stars Sean Patrick McGraw, Adam James Deiboldt, and Ciara Rae and on the show The Young and the Restless.

Mick Fury is an award winning singer/songwriter and is acclaimed for doing the 90 minute score and songwriting for Mel Gibson and Cole Hauser (Rip of Yellowstone) $10 million dollar theatrical film PANAMA. He’s shared the stage with everyone from the Stone Temple Pilots to Vertical Horizon to the Brothers Osborne, and is known for his intimate storytelling and big personality.
Mick started his musical journey playing in his old man’s Southern Rock band in Syracuse, NY as a drummer. When the keyboardist left the band, Mick slid in as his replacement. When the band needed a back up guitar player and harmony singer, he happily jumped into that slot. After a few years of late night gigs and learning the ropes of being a dive bar musician, Mick packed up his stuff and headed out to LA to be a rockstar on the Sunset Strip.
After a series of automotive calamaties in his Nissan Sentra on his drive from NY to Hollywood, Mick’s vehicle finally exploded at the Grand Canyon, and he limped into California in a rental car crammed full of his entire life. At the first gas station he pulled into Los Angeles, as he was admiring the sites, he was body checked into his car by an angry homeless lady. As he came to his senses, the shop owner came sprinting out of the office wieling a broom and chased the woman away, dusting Mick off and asking if he was ok. It was gonna be just like the movies.
Mick’s next two years were spent grinding it out in LA’s bustling open mic scene, performing 5-6 nights a week at places like Kualk’s Woodshed and the now infamous Highland Grounds. On any given Wednesday night at Highland Grounds he’d share the stage with as of yet unknown comedian Nick Thune, singer Meiko, actor John Fulton, and popstar Katy Perry.
2 years of eating ramen noodles and 3-for-a-dollar tacos at Del Taco wore thin and he packed up his life and returned home to New York. There his hard rock band Silent Fury took off, landing their song “Exit Wounds” in the Underworld film with Kate Beckinsale. The band toured extensively across the East Coast, playing shows with a slate of huge acts from Brett Michaels, Vertical Horizon, Vince Neil, Fuel, Bad Fish, the Goo Goo Dolls, the Stone Temple Pilots and many more.
When the band eventually broke up, Mick moved to Nashville to try pickin some country tunes. Though he had initial success opening for Travis Tritt, Frankie Ballard and Craig Campbell, it soon became clear that he had another calling. Mick began touring Solo, playing at the Key West Songwriter Fest, Americana Fest, and back to back years at the St. Augustine Songwriter Festival where his Irish drinking songs were a smash hit. His work in television also picked up, as his song “Kick Down My Door” and others were featured a dozen times on the show The Young and the Restless. He was nominated for Josie Award Americana Arts of the Year in back to back years, and came in 1st place in the Great American Songwriting Contest for his song “Cinnamon” composed with Miami based pop artist Ciara Rae.
Mick got one of his biggest break when was asked to be the composer for the $10 million dollar film PANAMA starring Mel Gibson and Cole Hauser(Yellowstone). The movie released in the theaters and landed in the Top 8 on iTunes films.
After an incredible year of performing at the Colorado Parrothead Festival, Meeting of the Minds, and Trop Rock n’ Duval, Mick began releasing a fun set of drinking songs from his upcoming album “Not Not Drinkin’”. The first single is the incredibly catchy and heart wrenching love song “Good Afternoon Tequila”. He’s currently touring festivals and house concerts across America teaching folks the benefits of “Not Not Drinkin’”.
Mick recently took a trip to Ireland to explore his heritage and fell in love with Irish music. The Irish zest for life has inspired him to write Irish drinking songs, and 2026 promises to bring on an original 10-song Irish Pub album recorded at his Nashville studio. Mick’s songs are currently being performing by rising stars Sean Patrick McGraw, Adam James Deiboldt, and Ciara Rae, and acts spread from Key West to Southern California. .
